What Makes You a Black Hat or a White Hat, Does it Matter?

What does SEO really means? Why do you need a SEO guide? Some call it search engine optimizer while others refer to it as search engine optimization; same animals but different names. Why is it important? It’s your meal ticket to success. Without it you don’t even exist on the internet. It’s what makes your website tick. It’s your business address. It’s better than telephone numbers or cellphone number.

You have your SEO and you’re ready to make business, but why is traffic low? Why aren't you getting the expected results? Maybe your search engine company isn’t the best you have right now. Maybe the people working there are lazy and not doing their job. How’s the link buildup going along? Some search engine companies are just better than others. Choose the ones that give you the widest exposure on the internet.

Keywords are important. They may drive traffic to your website. But remember, it’s not the traffic that’s important. If you cannot generate sales there’s something wrong with your set up. You don’t have the punch to make a knock out performance. Pay per click may help but coming up with a better designed website and better content can drive up more ads to your website, and that would be income indeed.

White hat SEO techniques also mean ethical practice. You follow the rule of the search engine optimization company and build your website with all the correct practices. Although titles may still carry lot of weight, don’t disregard the Meta data. The search engines will also keep them in store. They can drive your SEO ranking higher if you know how to use them.

Titles are very important. Do yourself a favor, make them imaginative; neither too short nor too long. If you make it too short visitors will think it useless going there not knowing what to find, assuming it’s a waste of time. Long titles are also boring. If you’re fond of reading newspapers then create a title that’s similar to headlines in the newspaper. With one glance the surfer will know what he’ll find there and he’ll be intrigued, if your title is really eye catching and attention grabber.

Like titles, don’t leave the keywords too short or too long. Use the proper key word density and don’t over stuff your web pages. Today, most web sites uses up to 1-1.5% density per web page. If you have a 500 word page your blue words should be around 5-7. How do you know your keywords are effective? it’s the pay per click coming to your web site.

Use your keywords in the title, first paragraph and last paragraph. Don’t put them in the center of the page, the crawlers will seldom find them there.

Keep your links at a high quality. You can use 50-75 links and that would be fine. Spiders can crawl up to over a hundred links but you won’t need that much. Link with similar web sites but not with the same product lines. Use only keywords registered with SEO machines or they won’t get recognized.
Your web content should be interesting and the design should really be attractive.

White hat is something you can bring with you home and get a good night sleep.

Black hat SEO techniques on the other hand may give you some advantage for a short duration but the search engine company may catch up with you later. You’re looking at short term success and that will be bad for the business. It’s like putting people at a disadvantage. You also try to trick the SEO engine.

The examples for this are keyword farming and keyword stuffing. You’re hoping that that the search engine company will not catch you but they will ultimately and what will happen to you? Cheating the search engines will do you no good.

These types of operation only happen because there are willing victims who are themselves greedy. Some companies will come to you promising you to get a high ranking if you pay them. If that’s true ask them why they’re not at top ten. Not even Google, Yahoo and Bing can do that.

Other black hat SEO techniques your competitor will do to you is to click you out of existence. They will overload your traffic until your web site becomes useless and will disappear from the WWW world.

You’re also sold links which are not good to you. It’s true that you’re now a member of a big web conglomeration. The problem is that while you’re selling popcorn, the group deals with laser beams.

There are several SEO techniques which will give you good results. They are really white hat after all. Please refer back to the white hat discussion.http://moneyonlineandseo.blogspot.com/p/seo-techniques-for-beginners-read-and.html
